Angry Young Men and Women

There's been a lot of hand-wringing about young men drifting toward red pill, dominance, and hustle culture. Now I'm reading in the New Statesman about young women moving in the opposite direction: Palestine, trans, and climate zealotry.

I don't think radicalization, left or right, men or women, is primarily a political phenomenon. It's a relational one. It happens when people feel unseen and unmoored, and ideology fills the gap. And the angrier the ideology, the harder it becomes to find anyone across the divide who still feels like a safe bet as a partner, friend, or colleague.
